Thame Carnival Road closures for this Saturday...

The excitement is building throughout Thame for the annual Carnival! There was a reminder issued on the Facebook page of the Carnival showing which roads will be closed from 11:50am to 1pm on Saturday 9th June.

The Carnival are asking you to move any vehicles from the route in good time before and to respect the marshalls who will be protecting all the parade participants and spectators by upholding the road closure.

The roads that will be effected are:

  • Moreton Lane into Southern Road to the High Street
  • High Street from its junction with Southern Road
  • High Street
  • Cornmarket
  • Upper High Street
  • East Street
  • Park Street
  • Thame Park Road from its junction with Jane Morbey Road
  • Station Yard

Haddenham Park Care Home: Stroke UK Meet & Move
Join the Stroke UK Meet & Move monthly support group for stroke survivors and their caregivers. Hosted as part of the Stroke Association support network, each session offers helpful information, resources, and a welcoming community. Stroke survivors can take part in a 45–60 minute exercise class led by a qualified instructor, while caregivers can enjoy coffee and social time in the piano lounge and connect with others. When: Last Tuesday of every month, 11:00am–12:00pm (starting 28 July 2026)Where: Haddenham Park Care Home & Apartments, Tibbs Road, Haddenham, Buckinghamshire, HP17 8FH A supportive space to stay active, share experiences, and meet others affected by stroke.
