Leading manufacturer relocates to Thame

Lambert Smith Hampton has successfully negotiated an assignment of the long leasehold interest in 6 Dormer Road, Thame, to Deco Glaze, Britain’s largest manufacturer of bespoke colour glazing.

The family owned and managed business is relocating from its premises in Brentford to expand its operation and reduce overheads. With increased business rates, higher rentals and more office space being redeveloped for residential purposes, this is part of an anticipated wave of businesses moving out of the capital. Deco Glaze recognised the benefits of the lower overheads available, whilst maintaining close proximity to London and its surrounding major road networks.
6 Dormer Road, a detached production facility, is located on an established industrial site close to the town centre, and provides Deco Glaze with a generous 18,515 sq ft of accommodation on a secure site of 0.89 acres.

Leo Silver, surveyor in Lambert Smith Hampton’s Oxford office, explains: “we are delighted to have been able to dispose of this facility for our client of 15 years, which was surplus to their operational requirements. Lambert Smith Hampton offers national coverage, including a strong local Oxford office, enabling us to dispose of the premises quickly and achieve best value for our client”.
