Over 20 groups turned up to help the Thame Tidy and Moreton Muckout.
This included the Scouts, Lea Park residents, Stones Close allotment holders, The Grace Church, as well as lots of volunteers and the Mayor of Thame, Cllr Linda Emery.
Some of the areas that received a spring clean on Saturday were Southern Road Recreation Ground, Thame Park Road bridge, the Phoenix Trail, Towersey Drive, Queens Road and Chiltern Vale.
Over 6 tonne bags of waste were cleared and the organisers would like to thank those who got involved and did a brilliant job!
Extra support this year was received from the Thame & District Lions Club, who are celebrating 40 years this year, who handed out litter pickers all day. The organisers would also like to thank ASM who ran around in a van collecting rubbish from the collection points and the Fire Service who picked up old dumped bikes and other items.
