Do you want to make your roads safer?

15th October 2026

Do you live on or near to Queens Road, Oxford Road, Cromwell Avenue, North Street, Wellington Street, Wenman Road, Kingsey Road, Jane Morby Road, East Street or Park Street?

If so, Thame Town Council are looking for volunteers to help Thames Valley Police with monitoring speeding vehicles on these roads. During the last 6 Speedwatch campaigns, their volunteers recorded 141 vehicles speeding in Thame, with 42 vehicles driving over 30mph in the 20mph zone.

If you have free time and want to help reduce the number of cars driving too fast on the roads near your home, why not become a Speedwatch volunteer? For more information, visit the Information Centre, visit our website or email [email protected].

If there are any other roads that you would like to volunteer on, please get in touch. Let's work together and keep our roads safe for everyone.
