Thame’s pupils are being invited to get involved in a Clean Air for Thame competition!
A new Clean Air Map has been created by pupils in Thame Schools, to help families identify routes around the town where they can walk or cycle while avoiding areas with higher levels of air pollution. The map brings together air-quality monitoring data collected by pupils, alongside schools, cycle routes and green spaces, to help people make healthier travel choices.
Every pupil will receive a map from school. To enter the competition you need to use the map to plan a lower air-pollution journey to school, then take a photo of yourself making the journey while holding your map. Upload your photo to Thame Green Living Plan's website for the chance to win a £50, £30 or £15 voucher, redeemable at Wallys Toy Shop or The Book House – or another local independent shop of your choice.
The competition deadline has been extended to Monday 19th October, so there’s still plenty of time to get involved and join the anti-pollution revolution!
