Spread Eagle Sign Falls Into Safety Area

A sign at the Spread Eagle fell into the designated safety area yesterday.

Thame Fire Station attended the scene and assisted with the incident. The Spread Eagle is working with its insurance company to arrange the removal of the sign as soon as possible.

Highways has been contacted to review the current traffic management measures.

The Thame 10k is one of Thame’s largest mass participation sports events, with over 1000 entrants taking part. CPM have been sponsoring the event since 1994. The race attracts a wide range of abilities, from the top runners in Oxfordshire competing in the Grand Prix series, to many local residents who take part as a personal challenge, or to raise money for good causes.
