Local events during Great British Green Week

3rd June 2026

The Great Big Green Week (GBGW) is the UK's largest celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature.

Running from 6th - 14th June this year (although some Thame events fall out with these dates), GBGW brings together people from all walks of life to show how small local actions can make a big difference for the planet. Across the country, communities host events such as litter picks, tree planting, clothes swaps, repair cafés, and educational workshops, all aimed at promoting sustainability and inspiring change.

Death Cafe @ Thame Barns Centre
You are warmly invited to attend Death Cafe in Thame. at 7:30pm in room 1 of the Barns Centre, and held on the third Thursday of each month thereafter A Death Cafe is an informal gathering where people can discuss death over tea and cake.
