Princes Risborough Young Farmers Club would like to thank everyone who supported both the Christmas Charity Road Run and the Christmas Tree Collection.
An incredible crowd lined all along the route to see a parade of 300 vintage and modern tractors and commercial vehicles.
With the committee supported by an army of volunteers bucket collecting and marshalling, along with several local businesses and sponsors including Addingrove Dairy, K&A Scaffolding, M Stevens Garden Machinery, Johnson Agri Plant and Kingshills Estate Agents, it was a great way to start Christmas for many.
The event raised £22,100 shared 50/50 between Thames Valley Air Ambulance and Bucks Healthcare NHS Trust – Stroke Services. This is an amazing amount of money that will make such a difference to both charities and those who need their life-saving and life-changing care. Both charities are incredibly thankful.

The annual Christmas Tree Collection saw a team of club members, supported by some ex-members, collect 923 trees and chip them all in one day. It was a long day for all involved. Thank you to Helpful Hirings for their sponsorship. This raised an amazing £9,800 for the Bucks Healthcare NHS Trust – Stroke Services.

“We would like to say a huge thank you to Princes Risborough Young Farmers for supporting us with their tractor run in December. We had a fantastic day, and it was great to see so many people come out to enjoy the procession. It’s thanks to the support of the tractor and lorry drivers and generosity of our brilliant community that we can continue to be there for people when they need it most. These vital funds are crucial to our lifesaving charity – thank you all so much.”
Bucks Healthcare NHS Trust – Stroke Services:
“We are so excited about the positive impact of these funds. They will offer immeasurable benefit to the lives of our stroke patients in Bucks. These donations will provide an opportunity to purchase up-to-date equipment and technology for stroke occupational therapy, physiotherapy and speech and language therapy. It will help improve the quality and effectiveness of rehabilitation, increasing independence and quality of life. Stroke is the leading cause of adult disability in the UK, and two thirds of people who survive a stroke have a long-term disability. This highlights the importance of our stroke services in Bucks and how much we value your support. This donation will contribute to helping our patients regain their lives, return to work and leisure pursuits, and do the things they enjoy. We can’t thank you enough.”
