Atalay’s Kebab Van to Change Hands as Owners Announce New Chapter

18th December 2025

Atalay’s Kebab Van, a well-known and much-loved fixture in Thame and the surrounding areas, is set to enter a new chapter after its owners announced they are handing the business over to new management.

In a statement shared on Facebook, owners Jason and Josh confirmed they have made the decision after “a lot of thought” to pass on their beloved van to people they trust, as they step away from van life and move on to new opportunities.

“Jason and Josh are ready to hang up the apron, step away from van life, and move on to a new chapter in life,” the post read.

The pair described Atalay’s as far more than just a business, reflecting on years of hard work and dedication. “This van has been more than just a business — it’s been a journey filled with hard work, late nights, laughter, and unforgettable memories,” they said.

While ownership will change, customers can expect a smooth transition. Jason and Josh confirmed they will remain involved over the coming months to help guide the new owners as they settle in.

The incoming team were described as “very professional and experienced people with brilliant ideas and projects,” with the outgoing owners adding, “We truly trust the new owners with all our hearts.” They also offered their full support, saying, “We pass on our blessings to them as they create a fresh, exciting future for the van.”

The announcement was met with an outpouring of support from loyal customers, many of whom have followed Atalay’s for years. In their message, Jason and Josh paid tribute to the community that helped make the business a success.

“To the people of Thame, surrounding areas and those who travel to see us — thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your incredible support over the years,” they wrote. “We genuinely could not have done any of this without you, and we’ll always be grateful for the love you’ve shown us.”

As Atalay’s Kebab Van prepares for its next chapter, the owners expressed confidence that the new team will continue the legacy, adding, “We know they’ll do something amazing with it and won’t let you down.”

They closed their message simply: “Thank you so much for being part of our story.”
