It’s the end of an era for many, as after 50 years Racquets Fitness Centre closed their doors for the final time on Sunday (5 October).
The building has new owners and earlier this year obtained planning permission for a full internal and external refurbishment, which will see six new golf simulators, as well as a gym, spin studio, yoga studio, treatment rooms and social space with a bar.
Wild Lemongrass, the Chinese takeaway / restaurant that operated from Racquets Fitness Centre, has also closed until they can find an alternative location.
