Business Litter Picking:
Last month ASM Auto Recycling, took part in the Great British Spring Clean and joined forces with Surfers Against Sewage for the Million Mile Clean initiative. The event was very successful we are working to support other Thame businesses to get involved in similar events. So far, Kubota UK are planning an event w/c May 12th, and the full co-operation of Travelodge UK and Asda Express to stay on top of the litter on their site has also been secured which is great news!
Group litter picking doesn't stop with businesses, but as only 6 people out of over 940 our members said they would participate in a group litter picking event, we have decided to hold just one event per month in liaison with South and Vale Waste Team.
Once SODC confirm they will arrange for the removal of bulk items, a session will be arranged for either a Sunday morning or afternoon with refreshments supplied during the 4 hour slot. So WATCH THIS SPACE for more information.
