Following the devastating house fire earlier this month, Oxfordshire County Council highways have today (Wednesday 30 August) confirmed that the Oxford Road has been reopened. All the bus companies have been informed and therefore should now be running to their normal timetables. Part of the pavement remains closed due to the building materials being stored from the house fire and provisions have been put in place to assist with those wishing to use an alternative footway. This will likely remain in place while building works are undertaken, but will be taken over by the builders at some point.
