A THAME opticians is organising a scavenger hunt to help raise funds for Barley Hill Primary School after thieves broke in and stole its IT equipment.
The team at Specsavers on the High Street in Thame were keen to step in and support the local school after news broke of the recent burglary.
Eagled-eyed scavengers are being called upon to take part in the hunt, in return for a donation, which runs from now until the end of September. Clue sheets can be picked up from the store in return for a donation to Barley Hill Primary School. All successfully completed sheets will be rewarded with a prize.
‘We were shocked to hear of the burglary and wanted to help out the school,’ comments Specsavers Thame store director, Neil Perry. ‘Plus, we thought a scavenger hunt might be a fun thing for families to take part in over the summer holidays – good vision is a must!’
The store is also on the hunt for another team member.
‘We’re looking for someone to help support us on the weekends – so part time work,’ adds Neil. ‘Optical or retail experience isn’t essential as full training will be provided so, if you’re looking for a fun and friendly place to work, please do get in touch.’
