Oxfordshire County Council will be undertaking maintenance and resurfacing work to the A4129 Tythrop Way between A418 Aylesbury Road roundabout and the junction with Cromwell Avenue East.
The works are programmed to start on Tuesday 2nd August 2022 and are expected to last for 3 consecutive nights, subject to any bad weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances during construction.
As well as resurfacing, the works will also include a full drainage cleanse and adjustments to drainage grates and access covers for level, the reinstatement of all existing and legal road markings and the recutting of all traffic loops present.
Traffic Management
In order to keep traffic disruption to a minimum, the works will be carried out under 3 consecutive overnight road closures between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00. The A4129 Tythrop Way at Thame will be fully reopened outside of these hours. A fully signed diversion route will be made available while the closure is in place.
A no waiting enforcement comes into operation wile works are undertaken along Tythrop Way. Please may we ask that all vehicles do not park on the carriageway for the duration of the works, as this will impede the resurfacing and subsequently could cause delays.
Works have also been phased to allow access to Thame FC at Meadowview Park during Tuesday 2nd August to accommodate their scheduled evening football match, although please note that vehicular access will only be via the A418 Aylesbury Road roundabout.
