Appeal for volunteers from Rotary Phoenix: Thame Swimathon 12 June 2022

The 9th edition of Thame Swimathon will take place at the Thame Leisure on Sunday 12 June between 11 am and 3 pm.

Rotary Phoenix Thame and District, the event organiser, is calling on all community minded people to volunteer for 1 hour for swimming lengths counting or marshalling.

Anyone who would love to help will need to follow 3 easy steps:

3. Sign up! Choose your spots - SignUp will send you an automated confirmation and reminders.

5 teams from Thame Swimming Club, 5 from Barley Hill School and 3 from John Hampden School will attend. They have already started fundraising on https://www.givey.com/thamerotaryclubtrustfund

Each team of up to 6 will have fun, swim for 1 hour and raise money for charity.

Haddenham Park Care Home: Stroke UK Meet & Move
Join the Stroke UK Meet & Move monthly support group for stroke survivors and their caregivers. Hosted as part of the Stroke Association support network, each session offers helpful information, resources, and a welcoming community. Stroke survivors can take part in a 45–60 minute exercise class led by a qualified instructor, while caregivers can enjoy coffee and social time in the piano lounge and connect with others. When: Last Tuesday of every month, 11:00am–12:00pm (starting 28 July 2026)Where: Haddenham Park Care Home & Apartments, Tibbs Road, Haddenham, Buckinghamshire, HP17 8FH A supportive space to stay active, share experiences, and meet others affected by stroke.

Join this free monthly support group for people living with Parkinson's and their caregivers. Held on the first Monday of every month from 11:00am–12:00pm, the session includes a gentle, physiotherapist-led exercise class for participants with Parkinson's, while caregivers can enjoy coffee, cake and the opportunity to connect with others in a relaxed, supportive environment.
