Field Sales Solutions, PROUD to announce Carbon Neutral status!

A significant milestone achieved 3 years ahead of plan, through independent verification via Carbon Footprint Ltd.

Employee owned, Field Sales Solutions, the UKs largest independent Field Marketing agency, with over 500 full time staff, is proud to announce that it has achieved Carbon Neutral status. This is a significant milestone for the business and comes only 24 months after launching the companies 5 Year Environmental Agenda.

Julian Cordy, Group CEO, previously set out a companywide plan to be Carbon Neutral by 2025, but they have reached this goal 3 years sooner than anticipated. This achievement was verified by Environmental Management body, Carbon Footprint Ltd, at the end of 2021. This marks the start of a new ambition to work toward Net Zero Carbon status through increased sustainability initiatives, electrifying the car fleet and companywide engagement.

Julian Cordy remarked, “We are extremely proud to have achieved Carbon Neutral status, but this is just the beginning of our longer-term ambitions. As a business we are committed to driving increased awareness and implementing new initiatives, including rolling out further hybrid and electric vehicles to our field teams, to reduce carbon emissions and maintain our neutral status whilst we work now toward Zero Carbon.

I have been delighted by the way our team across the business have got behind our Environmental Agenda and continue to find new ways in which we can better our ways of working to achieve our goals, and we all realise there is no Planet B!”

Field Sales Solutions conducted a verified appraisal of their CO2 emissions, across 2020-21, identifying major carbon sources within the business and a footprint of 1693 tCO2e. Through a combination of carbon offset projects, including solar power, reduced deforestation programs and small hydro power developments, as well as planting over a thousand trees, and making generous tree donations across the UK, to clients, friends and nature reserves.

Matt Ward, Environmental Implementation Leader, advised: “Our carbon appraisal will become an annual responsibility, to identify emissions, track progress, to sustain carbon neutrality, YoY, as well as now measure our reduction of yearly emissions at the same time as our business grows!

This will be combined with client, head office and field engagement strategies to drive awareness of both our professional and individual carbon footprints. We are determined to keep building on this, working as one team to really make a positive – and sustainable – difference.”

Field Sales Solutions will now look to set a new Carbon Neutral PLUS Agenda. This will detail how staff, clients, and suppliers can work together in partnership to sustainably reduce future emissions toward net zero carbon as a key business priority. The team at Field Sales Solutions are PROUD to make this difference and work toward a better tomorrow.
