Oxfordshire County Council will be undertaking carriageway maintenance work on the A329 Rycote Lane for 600m between Rycote Chapel and The Oxfordshire Golf Hotel and Spa.
The works are programmed to start on Friday 23 July 2021 and are expected to last for 7 shifts, subject to any bad weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances arising during construction. The works will include verge clearance, replacing damaged ironwork, resurfacing of the existing carriageway and the replacement of road markings.
To enable these activities to be carried out safely the work will be done in the following phases:
Phase 1: Friday 23 July to Saturday 24 July, 07:00 to 17:00hrs – full road closure to
enable preparation work to be carried out, including siding out and verge clearance.
Phase 2: Monday 26 July to Friday 30 July, 07:00 to 19:00hrs – full road closure to
enable the resurfacing work to be carried out and replacement of road markings.
Phase 3: Monday 26 July to Wednesday 28 July, 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs – full road
closure to enable damaged ironwork to be repaired and gullies adjusted to new levels.
A signed diversion route will be put in place during the above phases. Staff will be positioned at either end of the closure to direct traffic and pedestrians to ensure the safety of the public and workforce.
