The Thame Senior Friendship Centre was awarded funding from the Coronavirus Community Support Fund, distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund. This has helped them to continue to support their members remotely during both lockdowns.
The funding on the latest lockdown is allowing them to provide fish and chips free of charge to all their members once a week. They are also providing activity packs containing different puzzles and will continue with this service even if some of their members do not want to return to the Centre until there is a vaccine.
Many thanks to a student at Lord Williams’s who has under the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme provided a Thame weekly fact sheet that has been included in the members' activity packs.
A big thank you to Kate and all the volunteers who have been delivering the hot fish and chips from Smarts on a Tuesday and Friday.
Also, a very big thank you to the Government for making this possible.
