Thame Foodbank update

September was another very busy month for Sharing Life with continuing high demand for food parcels from the Foodbank and the launch of their Community Larder based at Christchurch. Here are the figures:

57 food parcels were delivered. These provided for 66 adults and 70 children

The Community Larder launched at Christchurch on Thursday 3 September. It runs every Thursday afternoon between 2.30pm and 4.30pm. There are a total of 48 members with 23 individual memberships and 25 family memberships. This is a really encouraging start and members have been offered a wide range of non-perishable and fresh supermarket surplus items each week. The Larder is open to anyone and is not means tested.
