Nick Stainton joins the Chinnor RFC Thame board

CHINNOR RFC Thame is delighted to announce the appointment of Nick Stainton to the Board.

Nick, who has been a part of the Club for 12 years, will be a Non-Executive Director with the responsibility for the Minis & Juniors Section.

Since joining Chinnor in 2008, Nick has previously held the position of Minis Chairman and coached across most of our age groups, while his sons currently play in the Colts and Under 15s.

He has also made a positive impact on player development, while he has expanded his coaching experience by supporting the Wasps DPP programme over the last two seasons and growing our connection with Wasps.

Nick – a member of our Vets side - has also been an integral part of our various fundraising teams, including the successful annual Beer Festival and Minis Rugby Festival committees.

With a great insight into the needs of the youth section – whether that be players, coaches or parents – his appointment re-enforces our commitment to the Minis & Juniors and the focus on growing rugby across all age groups.

Chinnor RFC Thame Chairman, Simon Vickers commented: “Nick has impressed all with his application and level headed and friendly approach. His appointment will aid considerably our continuing efforts to be ‘One Club’ with his knowledge of the Minis & Juniors operation and their needs. This is ever more important in these challenging times as we work hard to provide opportunity and engagement for all with the ever-changing restrictions. We welcome him to the Board.”

Nick Stainton said: “For a relatively young club, Chinnor RFC Thame has been a leader in developing rugby participation across this region. We have a significant role in supporting young people and delivering a player-centred coaching environment. Our focus will be on continually enhancing the already positive Chinnor experience. I’m delighted to accept the invitation and honoured to represent our growing Minis & Juniors section.”
