Thame Boys U15’s Score Big With The Appointment Of Ex-Professional Footballer Simon Marsh

Thame Boys Under 15’s have been on the lookout for a new manager since March. The 2018-2019 season saw them finish top of Division 1 in the Wycombe and South Bucks League, League Cup Winners and according to the boys their most significant achievement to date, winners at Thame Tournament!

Finding a new manager to build on the success and talent of the team was no mean feat. The appointment of Simon Marsh is a massive boost to the team and the club as a whole not only does he bring with him the wealth of his professional experience, which includes playing in England U21’s team and later Oxford United. .

“I have always wanted to take on a grassroots team and give back to the sport that has given me so much through-out my career. It is obvious that the U15’s are a talented and committed team and I am looking forward to helping them improve further, continue to have fun and hopefully get some wins and bring home some more Silverware.”

Simon brings with him Tom Burton as his Assistant and James Burrell Coach to help shape the team. Simon is keen to hear from any boys that would like to come along to training . If you are interested or would like to know more, he can be contacted via email on [email protected]
