In light of yesterday evening’s decision by the RFU to suspend all rugby in England for five weeks, Chinnor RFC Thame has released the following statement.
THE Rugby Football Union has confirmed the suspension of all rugby activity in England, at both professional and community level, following government advice.
Chinnor RFC Thame would like to express its full support of the decision, which includes club training, league and cup matches plus rugby education courses from March 17 – April 14 subject to continued review.
The RFU has said it will continue to “monitor government advice and will provide detailed updates on the impact to the season in the coming weeks”.
We will keep everyone informed of any developments, while an update will be provided with regards to non-playing events at the club in the next 24 hours.
