Tuesday 3/9/2019

Attendance - 212

Leighton Town Goals -

McCelland 12 Mins

Frederick pen 36 Mins

Thame United Goals -

Mapley 84 Mins (who had his penalty saved but headed the ball in afterwards).

The tie attracted a good size crowd at Bell Close which provided a FA Cup atmosphere.

Leighton Town progress to the next round of the FA Cup. Congratulations to Leighton who now will face a long journey to Lowestoft on Saturday.

This will be a tough one to take for Thame as the final chances in the last 15 minutes just would not go Thame's way.

Sadly early errors in the first half made it extremely difficult for Thame to earn an away win or even take the game to extra time.

Thame will now have a week and a half break before the next fixture.
