Bloor Homes launches Brighter Communities campaign in Thame

As Bloor Homes celebrates its 50th anniversary, the family-owned developer is using the occasion to reaffirm its commitment to the local Thame area, with the launch of its Brighter Communities campaign.

Bloor Homes is currently developing at Thame Meadows on Oxford Road in Thame and has recently been awarded five star status for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation (HBF).

The development, which comprises a mixture of three, four and five bedroom homes, marks an investment of more than £2.9 million into strengthening the local community.

Richard Sarraff, managing director for Bloor Homes South Midlands comments: “When we launch a new development for us it is about much more than simply building houses. We have been helping dream homes become a reality since 1969, and over the last 50 years we’ve truly cared about every home we’ve built.

“A key part of this is ensuring that we also invest in strengthening the local communities in which we build. That is why we are delighted to be launching our Brighter Communities campaign, under which we will invest in supporting all essential local amenities from education and healthcare to transport and leisure facilities.”

The £2.9 million investment from Bloor Homes in the local Thame community includes:

  • £1.8 million towards primary and secondary education
  • £225,000 towards an integrated community health and wellbeing facility in Thame
  • £209,000 towards the redevelopment of Southern Road recreation ground community facilities
  • £209,500 towards improved public transport provision

In addition, the developer has announced its support for a number of local causes including Thame Food bank, for which it collected donations at Christmas.

Sarraff concludes: “During the planning process we work very closely with communities to ensure our developments are closely aligned with their local need.

“As the development in Thame progresses, we look forward to strengthening these relationships as we work to build a brighter community for current and future generations.”

Thame Meadows currently offers a range of three, four and five bedroom homes, with prices for a three bedroom Trelissick design starting from £450,000.
