New bus shelters in Thame

Three bus stops in Thame are set to benefit from the installation of bus shelters, which will also contain a poster case to enable a town centre map to be displayed, bench seats with handles and suitable for DDA access.

Funding for the new bus shelters has been made available by Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) through S106 monies. After consultation with bus service providers, OCC and Thame Town Council, it was decided that the following bus stops would be the most suitable and effective spending of the available S106 funds: Oxford Road (Thame bound) and 2 x Wenman Road (Warren Mead and Esingdon Drive - Thame bound).

The available funding will also cover the cost to the Town Council of maintaining and improving ooth these and current bus shelters in the town.
