World Village Market returns to Thame this weekend

Family-friendly event organiser, Zoom Events will be returning to Thame with a World Village Market this weekend. Located on the High Street from the 5th to 7th April and back by popular demand, this will be the third time Zoom Events has brought its colourful, eclectic market to Thame.

The World Village Market is a unique street market with a festival feel featuring international street cuisine, artisan grocery foods, ethically traded, handmade arts, crafts, clothing and jewellery.

Now firmly established as an annual event, the Thame World Village Market brings a festival feel featuring international street cuisine, artisan grocery foods and ethically traded, handmade crafts, clothing, jewellery and accessories. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover an array of unusual items from around the world, in addition to stalls selling items produced locally.

A strong appetite from local customers, and sellers enthusiastic about showcasing their products in Thame, means this event has always proved popular. ‘We are looking forward to visiting Thame again in 2019 where we always receive such a warm welcome from local people,’ said Paul Kennedy, Director of Zoom Events. ‘We love to bring an extra splash of vibrancy and colour to this already bustling market town,’ he continued.

The Thame World Village Market will see stallholders lining the High Street. Street foods such as pork and chicken souvlaki, Chinese and Thai delicacies, German sausages and crepes will be freshly prepared alongside a craft beer bar from The Famous Last Stand to wash it all down. Handmade and artisan groceries including award winning flavoured waxed cheese truckles, chilli sauces, candied jalapenos, caramelised nuts and muffins, to Spanish saucisson will all be available to purchase and enjoy at home.

Food stalls will be accompanied by a wealth of intriguing homemade arts and crafts, ideal as gifts or for brightening up the home. Visitors will be able to find unique products from sterling silver jewellery, Indian rugs, Madagascan tableware, Italian clothing and dolls from South America to Portuguese pottery.

Thame World Village Market is free to enter and will be open on Friday 5th April from 11am to 5pm, Saturday 6th April from 9am to 6pm and Sunday 7th April from 10am to 5pm.
