Thame Town Council was very pleased to receive an Investors in Education Award from the Oxfordshire Business Education Alliance, nominated by Lord Williams’s school. This was a 'thank you' for all that we do as a Town Council in support of the school, in many and varied ways, including support of the single site project, our contribution to the off-timetable days and the recent Mayor’s Dinner. The awards event stressed the importance of students learning from businesses, but it works both ways, as we in turn learn from the school and its students as we progress our partnership.
The other award winners, nominated by Lord Williams's School (pictured left), were Employment for Students, Paul Wilkinson Photography, Lyn Palmer Architects, Steve Gunn Associates, Stuart Barr CDR, Lord Williams's School Nursery, Rumsey's Chocolaterie and Thame Cars. Congratulations to everyone who received an award. The awards were given for providing work experience, supporting school activities, attending the school Business Breakfast Meetings and offering advice to students
