15th January 2026
Thame Town Council have released the below update about the Lidl planning application:
Thame Town Council will be considering the planning application for a new Lidl supermarket on Aylesbury Road (P25/S3492/FUL), at a public meeting on Tuesday 20 January 2026, at 6:30pm in the Upper Chamber, Thame Town Hall. The agenda for the meeting can be viewed on our website.
Please note the application will not be granted/refused planning permission at this meeting (read more about the Town Council’s role in Planning here). South Oxfordshire District Council will take all comments made during the consultation period, including those made by the Town Council, into account when determining the application.
Given the local interest in this planning application, please read the information below on how you can attend and/or speak at the meeting. Please be advised that we do not have the facilities to livestream our council meetings. If you cannot attend the meeting but are interested in the outcome, we will be publishing the Town Council’s recommendation on the planning application in our newsletter later that week.
