Thame Tennis Club has won Oxfordshire Club of the Year for 2020

Thame Tennis Club is proud to have won Oxfordshire Club of the Year for 2020.

Despite a tough year, the club made significant progress that was recognised by the Oxfordshire LTA. Thame was seen to have provided a Coronavirus safe environment for the Thame community to play tennis. Along with this the club continued to develop its facilities, rebuilding the 100 year old club house, resurfacing 2 courts in all-weather artificial grass. We are the only club in the county with both artificial grass and artificial clay to enable year round play!

Thame Tennis Club is one of the leading Pay and Play tennis clubs in the country which enables the local community to book courts, as non-members, on a per hour basis. Having this facility enabled public access to the sport in a safe environment. As a result, the club saw the largest uptake in Pay and Play through 2020 since it began in 2016.

The club maintained its inclusivity with coaching outreach to Thame Primary schools. This has lead to a thriving coaching programme catering to all ages and abilities throughout the year.

Thame Tennis club is pleased to re-open in line with government guidance from March 29th. This will include the resumption of coaching, Pay and Play and members booking. Junior Easter Camps will run Tuesday 6th-Friday 9th April and Monday 12th-Thursday 15th April, with the term time programme restarting from Monday 19th April.

Non members can book courts 1 and 2 @ £10.00 per hour online - click here
All are welcome to book a court and come and visit this very friendly club and check out their brand new clubhouse!

We can’t wait to be back on court…we hope to see you joining us!
