Thame Spring Market Returns With Ale & Cider Festival

19th February 2025

The annual Spring Market is returning to Thame High Street from Friday 7th to Sunday 9th March 2025. This year a brand-new Ale & Cider Festival will be running alongside the market in Thame Town Hall featuring a range of craft ales including those from local breweries together with Kentish cider.

Billed as the What Ales You? Thame Spring Beer Festival there are four sessions to choose from, with two being held on Friday 7thand the others taking place on Saturday 8th March. Each session will feature either a DJ or a live solo artist, with the Friday afternoon session also featuring a pub style quiz. Numbers for each session are limited by the venue capacity and tickets should be purchased online in advance here. Discounted tickets are available for CAMRA members.

The eclectic Spring street market is a firm fixture in the town’s annual calendar featuring an unusual selection of international street foods, handmade groceries, arts, crafts & gift ideas. The street food vendors will remain open until late afternoon so that visitors to the beer festival can pick up some hot food before or after their preferred session.

‘We always look forward to visiting Thame where we receive a warm welcome from local people,’ said Paul Kennedy, Director of Zoom Events. ‘This year’s Spring Market is fully booked so there will be a great selection of products as well as the extra attraction of an indoor beer festival. Our motto is ‘creative with space’, as we strive to develop new interesting experiences that encourage communities to gather in their town centres’ he continued.

The Thame Spring Market will be open on Friday 7th March from 11am – 5pm, Saturday 7th March from 9am – 6pm and Sunday 9th March 10am – 5pm. Beer Festival session times in Thame Town Hall are Friday 7th March 4.00pm – 6.00pm and 6.30pm – 9.00pm and Saturday 8th March 12.00pm – 3.30pm and 4.30pm – 8.00pm.

You are warmly invited to attend Death Cafe in Thame. at 7:30pm in room 1 of the Barns Centre, and held on the third Thursday of each month thereafter A Death Cafe is an informal gathering where people can discuss death over tea and cake. We’re aiming to normalise the topic of death, raise acceptance, and help people make the most of their lives by breaking the taboo around mortality. It is not a grief support group or counselling session. These sessions have no agenda, objectives, or themes, allowing for organic, group-directed conversations about anything related to death, from end-of-life planning to fears and feelings, fostering open sharing in a respectful, confidential space. Death Cafe is run on a not-for-profit basis but if you are able to make…
