Cyclists of all abilities are being invited to take part in the return of the popular Thame Sportive, which is set to take place on Sunday 14 June 2026.
The annual event, held in and around the town of Thame, promises a full day of cycling, community spirit, and scenic countryside routes across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
Routes for Every Rider
Organisers have confirmed a range of distances to suit everyone from experienced cyclists to families and beginners.
Participants can choose from:
- An 80-mile route aimed at seasoned riders looking for a serious challenge
- A 50-mile course offering a classic sportive distance
- A new 30-mile route, introduced this year to make the event more accessible
- An 8-mile family ride around Thame, with free entry for children
All riders who complete their chosen route will receive a medal at the finish.
Scenic Riding and Event Atmosphere
The event will feature fully signed routes and well-stocked feed stations along the way, helping riders stay fuelled throughout their journey.
Cyclists can also expect to take in some of the area’s most scenic roads, with routes stretching through the surrounding countryside of Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
At the finish, an event village will provide a lively atmosphere for participants and spectators alike.
