Thame housing association Soha is running a free creative writing workshop in Thame, 2 – 5pm on Saturday 22 January at Girlguiding HQ

Thame housing association Soha is running a free creative writing workshop in Thame, 2 – 5pm on Saturday 22 January at Girlguiding HQ, with the aim of bringing communities of its own residents and non-Soha residents together. It is genuinely for anyone who lives anywhere where we have homes and the Thame workshop is just one of many across the county.

‘Playing with Words’ is professionally-led – by Kevin Campbell Davidson of The KCD Collective - and free and aims to encourage creativity on the theme of ‘community’ in poetry, prose or music. It will culminate in a gala evening in July 2022 at Didcot’s Cornerstone Arts Centre and those who wish to work something up with Kevin are welcome to perform if they wish. Just attending a workshop doesn’t mean signing up to perform – but if participants would like to, all the better! So whether to be part of the ultimate show, or to just go along to the workshop as a social activity, all are welcome. There will be further mentoring, again all free, for anyone who would like to work up a piece for performance, or just continue exploring newly-found talent.

Soha wants to encourage as many people as possible from all cultures and backgrounds, Soha residents or not, to participate and has the invitation ready to extend in seven languages other than English, so do spread the word! The idea is to have some fun, to learn new creative skills and inspire each other while maybe meeting new people. Contact [email protected] or call 0800 014 15 45 (Freephone) to book.
