Tetsworth Primary School girls finished a valiant second in the Thame School’s Sports Partnership Years 5/6 Football Tournament.
The tournament was held at Tetsworth Primary School and various Primary Schools throughout the area were competing.
Reigning champions St Joseph’s from Thame were looking for back to back wins. But it was St Andrew’s Primary School from Chinnor who ran out champions on the day. In doing so it meant that they have now won the tournament twice, having won the first ever girl’s football tournament in 2016.
Final standings from the tournament are below:
1st place - St. Andrew's, Chinnor 12 points
2nd place - Tetsworth 7 points
3rd place - John Hampden, Thame 5 points
4th place - Aston Rowant 2 points
5th place - St. Joseph's, Thame 1 point
A special thanks must go to Andy Barrett for refereeing and Tracy Morgan for doing refreshments.
The next Thame School's Sports Partnership tournament is the Year 3/4 Mixed 5-a-side Football on Tuesday 20th February at Thame United.
