NEW THIS YEAR….joining Thame Food Festival on the 29th and 30th September will be the Humble Country marquee. Delivering even more than the usual tempting delights of artisan food, street treats, wine, beer and drinks, this new event feature will house an emporium of tempting treasures and gorgeous gifts for your home and kitchen.
After a fabulous summer of outside living and entertaining, the autumn is the perfect time to turn your attention inside and add interest and warmth to your surroundings. It only takes a few choice pieces to update the décor and change the mood of your home to suit the season.
From a cosy throw to cuddle up by the fire with, a new candle giving off that inviting glow or gorgeous tableware to serve up hearty meals from, you can be sure to find it in the Humble Country marquee. This haven of homewares was dreamt up around a kitchen table by a team of local ladies just over a year and a half ago. Their vision was to ‘bring together all of those things for your home that you admire in magazines but never knew where to find.’
After successful shows at Blenheim and Hampton Court Palace, they are excited to be bringing Humble Country to Thame, especially as it is on their doorstep and will be featuring some lovely local companies. By handpicking a collection of likeminded, stylish, home and kitchenware companies and bringing them together, the team’s aim is to inspire home loving country folk and urban dwellers alike. So come along, have a browse and maybe even find that “once in a lifetime find” or that “how could I have lived without it” piece.
There promises to be something for everyone, from pots, pans and placemats to cushions and chopping boards, not forgetting personalised dog beds, as everyone loves coming back to a cosy home as the nights draw in.
So, make sure you plan to come and visit Humble Country, who will be located in a large marquee in the heart of the show. It promises to be a shopping opportunity not to be missed.
