On Sunday morning members of the South Bucks branch of The Riley Register which was formed after the war and mostly involved with pre war Rileys, gathered in Thame's Upper High Street to reproduce a photograph from 1928 which was discovered in a scrap book belonging to Gilbert Grace and his late father. Gilbert has a garage and hardware store in Tring.
The Riley Motor Club was founded in 1925 as a club for all Rileys. The Riley Motor Club of today is more involved with post war Rileys, which by then had come under the banner of BMC and the cars were built in Abingdon. The original Riley company in Coventry closed down in 1938 and the factory went over to Munitions for the war effort.
