Queen's Jubilee events

What's on in Thame

If you haven't already, you should soon be receiving a booklet through your door showcasing all the events in Thame up to and including the Queen's Platinum Jubilee at the beginning of June. The celebrations kick off on 7 May - 11 June with an exhibition in Thame museum entitled 70 Glorious Years, followed on 28 May with an exciting new event, A Taste of Thame in the town centre. You can preview the booklet on our website https://www.thametowncouncil.gov.uk/community/platinum-jubilee/ and see the full list of events that are planned.

The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Beacon Trail 30 April - 12 June

Part of the celebrations include the official Queen's Platinum Jubilee family story-trail which starts this Saturday. Around the town centre, at locations that offer our community both support and entertainment, are 7 whimsical characters to find as you go on a free, family outdoor adventure around Thame. 'Sir Barnaby Beacon' will guide you through the history of the Queen's 70 year reign. Simply scan the QR codes displayed at these locations to collect digital stamps. You'll get to choose what happens in the story and see the characters come to life in augmented reality. The starting location is Thame Players Theatre, and your online adventure will guide you to the next locations after you start the trail. The trail will be live from THIS Saturday and you can find out more at highstreetsafari.com/locations/jubilee-thame
