As you may be aware, work is underway to implement a Public Art Project across Thame that assists people in finding their way around the town on foot. The result will be 3 different trails around the town. The development of the first of these trails, leading from Thame Meadows estate to Thame town centre, is well underway. This trail is a story trail that weaves elements of Thame’s history into a magical and intriguing tale of adventure set in three locations, in three very different times. It has been created through community workshops over the past year. The full details on the process can be found by clicking here.
In June 2022 the pupils of St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Primary School took part in a competition to name this new story trail. The winner, Emilee Sinclair, named the trail
‘The Peculiar Pot’
Emilee is pictured here with her teacher, Mr deVletter and her mother, Mrs Sinclair. Later this year we expect to see the signs bearing this name and relevant wayfinding directions being installed alongside the 5 totems that will bring the story to life.
