The service was held at St Mary's Church on Sunday 12 October. It was attended by John May, High Sheriff of Oxfordshire and Bernard Talyor, Deputy Lord Lieutenant together with dignitaries representing County, District and local councils.
Senior pupils from Lord Williams’s School provided music and readings, whilst Marie Scott from The Red Kite Family Centre and Hannah Kape from Thame Youth Projects spoke about the work they do to support local children and their families and how appreciative they are that the Mayor has chosen their organisations as his charities this year.
