Love in a bag Thame will be going ahead this year!

This project is running to help homeless men and women - to give them a thoughtful gift at a time when many are sleeping rough. Bags are also going to victims of Domestic Abuse who have to flee their homes - and those victims could be women or men.

We are going ahead with this years collection . Things will have to be a little different due to the current situation. The team are working out covid 19 safe ways of operation, at present we have 2 drop points either Bradmoor Farm at Haddenham or 25 Cotmore Gardens Thame OX9 3LZ. .

What we need you to do is find a bag (rucksacks are good as we have had a lot of requests for men's bags already ) large enough to put a few items in .Collect some /all of the following items Face Masks either new disposable or fabric Shampoo or dry shampoo.Toothpaste and toothbrush. Deodorant (roll on as we can't have aerosols)Soap ,flannel /sponge ,tissues ,small towel Make up , hair accessorises , Hats ,gloves ,scarf , socks ,new underwear Book , pen ,note book Gift card for coffee shops Note / card to the person who will receive the bag WE CAN NOT PUT IN Food , medicines or razersall the above are suggestions we are happy to receive any items that are suitable we can make up bags if you can only donate a few items

Haddenham Park Care Home: Stroke UK Meet & Move
Join the Stroke UK Meet & Move monthly support group for stroke survivors and their caregivers. Hosted as part of the Stroke Association support network, each session offers helpful information, resources, and a welcoming community. Stroke survivors can take part in a 45–60 minute exercise class led by a qualified instructor, while caregivers can enjoy coffee and social time in the piano lounge and connect with others. When: Last Tuesday of every month, 11:00am–12:00pm (starting 28 July 2026)Where: Haddenham Park Care Home & Apartments, Tibbs Road, Haddenham, Buckinghamshire, HP17 8FH A supportive space to stay active, share experiences, and meet others affected by stroke.

Join this free monthly support group for people living with Parkinson's and their caregivers. Held on the first Monday of every month from 11:00am–12:00pm, the session includes a gentle, physiotherapist-led exercise class for participants with Parkinson's, while caregivers can enjoy coffee, cake and the opportunity to connect with others in a relaxed, supportive environment.
