Let's Talk Rubbish

A public meeting for South Oxfordshire residents about waste and recycling will be held at Chinnor Community Pavilion on Tuesday 2nd October.

Eleanor Bunn, SODC Waste and Recycling Officer, will give a presentation followed by questions and answers, and light refreshments. If you have any rubbish about which you are unsure of which bin to put it in, please bring it along.

This is a free event organised by Chinnor Action on Plastic, a recently formed group learning about and finding solutions to the global plastic crisis at a grass roots community level.  We hope that this event will prove useful and give us the information we need in order to achieve maximum recycling and minimum waste.

Full details are below:

Tuesday 2nd October at 7.30pm – 9.30pm at Chinnor Community Pavilion, off Station Road, OX39 4PU.

Death Cafe @ Thame Barns Centre
You are warmly invited to attend Death Cafe in Thame. at 7:30pm in room 1 of the Barns Centre, and held on the third Thursday of each month thereafter A Death Cafe is an informal gathering where people can discuss death over tea and cake. We’re aiming to normalise the topic of death, raise acceptance, and help people make the most of their lives by breaking the taboo around mortality. It is not a grief support group or counselling session. These sessions have no agenda, objectives, or themes, allowing for organic, group-directed conversations about anything related to death, from end-of-life planning to fears and feelings, fostering open sharing in a respectful, confidential space. Death Cafe is run on a not-for-profit basis but if you are able to make…
