The OX9er's are a new community group in Thame made up of like-minded people wishing to carry on the great work of the Thame Lions Club which folded in June.
Do you have a couple of hours a month and enjoy having fun?
Many hands make light work, many brains have good ideas. OX9ERS are a group of like-minded people who used to belong to Thame Lions Club, which has since folded and left a hole in the community for the work they did and the people they helped.
The OX9ERS was formed to take over where the Lions had left off covering Thame, Haddenham, Chinnor, Princes Risborough, Long Crendon and all the smaller villages within. This new groups intends to assist in all sorts of areas from Thame Fair Car Parking, to helping with the Carnival, Christmas Lights Switch-On, fundraising, helping at local village fetes, collecting furniture and equipment for Saunderton Lodge, Amnesty days, Thame Tidy etc.
They also want to be approachable and have fun!
The group meet monthly on the third Thursday at The Three Horses in Towersey at 8pm.
