Introducing SmartQ - opening Thame Town Centre Safely

SmartQ is a take-a-ticket app for safer, smarter queuing – helping retailers better manage shorter physical queues while improving social distancing, developed by Adactus who are based in Thame. Since their very earliest discussions about a safer and fairer queue system, they have been committed to supporting the local community by making SmartQ available to Thame businesses free of charge. Businesses are now preparing to emerge from lockdown and Thame Town Council has chosen to work with Adactus to enable the roll out of this App across the town centre.

Adactus want to talk to all Thame companies who may have a challenge with queues. If you have or anticipate long queues at certain times, SmartQ can help manage customers expectations and allow them to wait safely until you are ready for them. For those with smaller shop frontages, even a queue of 3 or 4 can start to block pavements and get mixed up with next door’s queue – SmartQ allows customers to be in your queue without being physically present until you’re ready for them.

Key features include:

•Consumers can ‘take a ticket’ via the app, text or from a staff member at the front of the store – all at a safe distance
•Reduces time spent close to people as they wait in their car
•Configurable with any brand and operation
•Managed by the team in store on any Android or Apple device
•GDPR compliant Thame Town Council will be in contact with all town centre businesses to talk through the roll out of the App so that it is adopted town-wide. However if you are ready to get on board, then go ahead and contact Adactus directly to discuss implementation
