On Tuesday 21 April, at Thame Town Council’s meeting the following matters were discussed / agreed.
Planning matters: Application P26/S0864/FUL for the Verge at Howland Road, Thame the construction of a micro energy storage facility was discussed; and it was agreed to object to the planning application as per the Officer recommendation.
Car parking consultation: The proposed changes to South Oxfordshire District Council Car Parking and Off-Street Parking were discussed. It was agreed for Thame Town Council to request a strategic review of the car parks in Thame to incorporate the increased use of the car park once the development of 6-8 High Street (former Co-Op site) has been completed and for further clarity regarding the allocation of 15 car-parking spaces to be removed from public use, and available to Par72 in the Cattle Market car park. Thame Fire Station: It was noted that the Oxfordshire County Council Cabinet Committee meeting on 21 April 2026, considered a report on the Fire and Rescue Service Consultation, the Cabinet agreed with the report recommendation and the proposal to remove the second fire engine from Thame Fire Station has been withdrawn.
