Final reminder to take part in the housing needs survey

2nd October 2025

With the deadline fast approaching, this is a final reminder for anyone who lives in Thame, or has a strong connection to the area, to take part in the Thame Community Land Trust’s (CLT) Housing Needs Survey.

Organised by the local charitable organisation, the survey aims to identify the need for affordable housing that the mainstream property market in Thame currently fails to meet. It’s open to locals in need of affordable homes, as well as those with longstanding ties to the community who may have been priced out.

This is the second survey run by Thame CLT, following the success of the first which helped secure the development of 31 affordable homes next to the Stones Close allotments, off Windmill Road. Construction on that scheme is now about to begin, with homes prioritised for local people.
It’s hoped that this latest survey will pave the way for further affordable housing provision in the area.

If you are interested or know someone else who might be, you can pick up a hard copy of the survey from Thame Town Hall or Thame Library, or it can be completed online here. The deadline for completing the survey is Sunday 5 October.

If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Fiona Brown at Community First Oxfordshire [email protected] T: 01865 883488.

You are warmly invited to attend Death Cafe in Thame. at 7:30pm in room 1 of the Barns Centre, and held on the third Thursday of each month thereafter A Death Cafe is an informal gathering where people can discuss death over tea and cake. We’re aiming to normalise the topic of death, raise acceptance, and help people make the most of their lives by breaking the taboo around mortality. It is not a grief support group or counselling session. These sessions have no agenda, objectives, or themes, allowing for organic, group-directed conversations about anything related to death, from end-of-life planning to fears and feelings, fostering open sharing in a respectful, confidential space. Death Cafe is run on a not-for-profit basis but if you are able to make…
