A family from Thame has started a crowd funding page in an attempt to bring a family member home for his mum's funeral.
An extract from the page is below:
Sadly in the early hours of the 13th December 2017, we lost the head of the family Carole Lowe after a brave battle to lung cancer. Death of a loved one is never easy but even more so when you live across the other side of the world 10,279 miles to be exact! (Brisbane, Australia).
Carole was a fun loving, kind hearted soul who loved her family dearly and cherished the times she spent with them.
Although Dave was fortunate enough to spend two precious weeks with his mum back in February last year it would mean so much to us all to have him home to bid his last farewell to his special mother and to be in England to support his family.
Therefore i am pleading for your help, at this time of the year finances are never easy for anyone so i am trying to raise the funds towards Dave's airfare.
As a family i cannot express how much this would mean to us all and i thank you in advance for any kind donations.
