Fireworks Extravaganza

Saturday 4th November

Gates and Refreshments from 4:45pm

Long Crendon School PTA will hold its annual Fireworks Display on the school fields (map).

This year we've got a truly fabulous event planned for you! Thanks to sponsorship from Rectory Homes, Landmark Garden Design & Construction, K & A Scaffolding and Windmill Windows. We have another award-winning display from the Star Fireworks team (the same team behind TV's 'Big Brother Live Final' fireworks, no less) and live music from the Long Crendon School Y6 Band and XYZ Music Academy.

And that's not all - to make it a night to remember for all the family there will be:

  • Traditional fish and chips from Howe & Co
  • Sweet Shop
  • Fat Buddha Thai food & BBQ from The Churchill Arms
  • XT Bar selling local beer
  • Bar serving warming mulled wine and a selection of drinks

So tell your friends and family in Long Crendon, Thame and the surrounding areas to come along and join in the fun.

We aim to set off the fireworks at around 6pm, so don't miss them! Gates open at 4.45pm, so arrive early to settle in with some delicious food, live music, a mulled wine and a great view!

Sparklers, Parking & Dogs

Please do not bring sparklers

Parking is free on the roads surrounding the school. Disabled parking only on school grounds. We ask that you respect our neighbours and don't block any driveways!

Please don't bring your dog, even if they're used to fireworks.

What if the weather's bad?

Check this website or our Facebook page on Saturday afternoon for any updates, but only very strong winds, blowing in the wrong direction, could potentially faze the STAR crew, so assume the event will go ahead - even if it's raining. Bring umbrellas, wrap up warm, and embrace our exciting November weather!

The event is kindly being sponsored by Rectory Homes, Landmark Garden Design & Construction, K & A Scaffolding and Windmill Windows.

You are warmly invited to attend Death Cafe in Thame. at 7:30pm in room 1 of the Barns Centre, and held on the third Thursday of each month thereafter A Death Cafe is an informal gathering where people can discuss death over tea and cake. We’re aiming to normalise the topic of death, raise acceptance, and help people make the most of their lives by breaking the taboo around mortality. It is not a grief support group or counselling session. These sessions have no agenda, objectives, or themes, allowing for organic, group-directed conversations about anything related to death, from end-of-life planning to fears and feelings, fostering open sharing in a respectful, confidential space. Death Cafe is run on a not-for-profit basis but if you are able to make…
