5th March 2026
Thame Players’ popular Drama Workshops were held in February for the third year and once again attracted eager participants from a range of backgrounds. The venue for the first two workshops, held on 2nd and 9th February, was Thame Museum – the idea being that participants who have no experience of being on a stage could feel comfortable in a more relaxed setting. The final workshop, on 16th February, was held at the Players Theatre, where participants put on an improv performance, before an invited audience of family and friends.
The workshops were again hosted by experienced Thame Players’ actors Matt Sparkes and Janet Erskin. Participants learned about the key elements of theatrical performance, character development and storytelling, and took part in drama games and improvisation, as well as doing voice work.
