7th May 2026
Show your love for our markets and celebrate this year's Love Your Local Market initiative. Love Your Local Market is an annual celebration, where towns across the nation celebrate shopping local.
Over the next couple weeks, Thame has an array of exciting market activities that you can get involved in to mark the occasion:
Tuesday 12 May: Local Produce Market
On the second Tuesday of each month, our regular market is joined by Thame Local Produce Market, with stalls displaying an incredible range of produce from the local area and further afield.
Tuesday 19 May: Meet Your Councillors on the Market
On the third Tuesday of each month, Thame Town Councillors have a stall on the market where you can ask any council associated queries you may have. This is a great opportunity to do some local shopping, support your local market, as well as meet your representatives.
Saturday 23 May: Taste of Thame
Taste of Thame is a popular annual event that takes place in the centre of Thame, celebrating our independent and diverse range of food and drink offerings. You can take part in food-related workshops, meet local artisan food and drink producers, and join in the big Buttermarket banquet – the perfect spot to sit, relax, and enjoy some fabulous food.
Tuesday 26 May: Tuesday Charter Market
Thame was granted a market charter in 1215 and markets have been held on Tuesdays since that time. A trip to the market guarantees you a vibrant display of produce, gifts, homeware, clothes and more with friendly traders always ready to help.
Saturday 6 June: Vegan Market
This seasonal market lets you discover a mouth-watering selection of hot food, refreshing drinks, artisan deli delights, and handcrafted treasures. Whether you’re vegan, curious, or simply love exploring fresh flavours and creativity, our market has something for everyone to enjoy.
