Calling local restaurants and keen foodies – get involved in Lymphoma Action’s virtual cooking challenge!

Lymphoma Action are calling on local restaurants and keen foodies to support their online fundraising activity, the 5 Ingredient Challenge! Join them in rustling up delicious dishes with one rule to follow – they can only contain five ingredients. Once complete, take a photo of your creation and upload it to your social media channels before nominating five of your friends to do the same! Those who take part are asked to make a £5 donation via text to support them as the only charity in the UK dedicated to lymphoma, a type of blood cancer.

Sarah Thorn, Community and Partnerships Manager at Lymphoma Action said “our challenge is a fun way to stay connected with our loved ones through a shared love of food whilst supporting people affected by the fifth most common cancer in the UK.”

She adds “the current situation with COVID-19 is a particularly anxious time for people living with a lymphoma diagnosis, as they are considered to be at extremely high risk of severe illness from the virus. Throughout the events of the past couple of months, we have continued to provide support to those who rely on our support services and information more than ever. Through funds raised through online activities such as the 5 Ingredient Challenge we can continue our work in making sure that no one has to face lymphoma alone.”
