Bikers Unite for Charity: "Ides of March" Ride Returns to Support Rosie's Rainbow Fund

3rd February 2025

Motorcycle enthusiasts are revving up for the "Ides of March" Charity Bike Ride, set to take place on March 23, 2025. Organized under The Rides of Ides Facebook group, this event aims to surpass last year’s 50-bike milestone while raising funds for Rosie’s Rainbow Fund, a charity dedicated to supporting sick and disabled children and their families.

The 30-mile charity loop will start at The Old Red Lion, 40 High Street, Tetsworth (OX9 7AS), with riders gathering at 11:00 AM before setting off at 12:00 PM. The event welcomes all, whether on two wheels or four, with a £5 donation appreciated. Food, tea, and coffee will be available for participants and supporters.

Since 2023, The Rides of Ides has hosted biannual charity rides, including the upcoming Ides of September later this year. So far, over £3,000 has been raised for various causes, with Rosie’s Rainbow Fund now chosen as the ongoing beneficiary.

Rosie’s Rainbow Fund provides music therapy in hospitals, massage therapy for parents of long-stay children, and bereavement support for families. More information on their work can be found at rosiesrainbowfund.co.uk.

Organizers are calling for more riders and greater local support along the route, encouraging the community to come out and cheer. For details, visit The Rides of Ides Facebook page: facebook.com.

Donations can also be made through JustGiving.

Event organizer Tracey Moore shared her enthusiasm: “We are excited to build upon last year’s success and make this year’s ride even bigger. Your support, whether by joining the ride, donating, or cheering us on, makes a significant difference.”

Join the ride, make a difference, and help raise vital funds for Rosie’s Rainbow Fund!

You are warmly invited to attend Death Cafe in Thame. at 7:30pm in room 1 of the Barns Centre, and held on the third Thursday of each month thereafter A Death Cafe is an informal gathering where people can discuss death over tea and cake. We’re aiming to normalise the topic of death, raise acceptance, and help people make the most of their lives by breaking the taboo around mortality. It is not a grief support group or counselling session. These sessions have no agenda, objectives, or themes, allowing for organic, group-directed conversations about anything related to death, from end-of-life planning to fears and feelings, fostering open sharing in a respectful, confidential space. Death Cafe is run on a not-for-profit basis but if you are able to make…
